💬 Set Up Slack Notifications

Connect Leon to your Slack workspace to receive notifications in a channel or as direct messages.

Setup Steps

1. Go to Settings in the Leon app menu
2. Click on the Notifications tab
3. Find the Slack card
4. Click Add to Slack
5. Select your Slack workspace
6. Authorize Leon to send messages
7. Choose where to receive notifications

Choosing Notification Destination

After connecting, choose where to receive notifications:

Channel Notifications

Send notifications to a Slack channel:

1. Select Channel as the destination
2. Choose an existing channel from the list
3. Click Save

All channel members will see the notifications.

Direct Messages

Send notifications as a DM to yourself:

1. Select Direct Message as the destination
2. Click Save

Only you will see the notifications.

Testing Your Connection

1. Click Test connection in the Slack card
2. Check your Slack for a test message
3. If you receive it, the setup is complete

Changing the Destination

To switch between channel and DM:

1. Go to Settings → Notifications
2. Click Edit on the Slack card
3. Select the new destination
4. Click Save

Disconnecting Slack

1. Go to Settings → Notifications
2. Click Disconnect on the Slack card
3. Confirm the disconnection

This removes Leon's access to your Slack workspace.

Troubleshooting

"Failed to connect"

• Make sure you have permission to add apps to your Slack workspace
• Try again or contact your Slack administrator

"Channel not found"

• The channel may have been deleted or renamed
• Select a different channel

"Messages not appearing"

• Check that Leon isn't muted in the channel
• Verify the channel still exists
• Try the test connection button
